Visit to Cwprs and Khadakwasla 🌊🌊

On 28th of June 2022, a dream of ewre students comes true and that was a official visit to cwprs and khadakwasla dam. The planning for visit was started from the first sem itself. I was eagerly waiting for the visit to happen in action. As planned one day prior to the visit, everyone planned to come to account section at sharp 7 : 30 am and we Gathered at sharp 8:30. The Collège We decided a dress code and we were able to almost follow it.

Driver was also in energetic mood so he just took off from the campus in a hurried mode, We started with our as usual chats and talks, laughs and lively fun activities. Then we started playing Damsharas a game where one has to guess the movie name from actions of their friends. My team won the game by 5-4 and Valla We were at the gates, on the gates at the same time.

We took photos and went ahead. A senior officer of CWPRS guided us to canteen for breakfast and I had some bicks over there. One of our member was sick. From there we visited to Polavaram reservoir.

Quite a model, it was more than an acre. Yamuna dry river model, Current calibration instrument. Wave generation model for kamarajan port, It shows how waves are dampered and how they're kept offshore limited to the high sea. The port is kept high and safe. After learning from all these models and instrument we headed towards khadakwasla Dam. On the downside of gates we parked the college bus. Walked the way up to the higher side of the dam, a super cool view was in front of my eyes. There was this water all around with cool breezes and tiny drops of rain. 

We walked up to the center of the left side of the bank. On the other side pumping station can be seen easily and dome of NDA And NDA campus (just  the trees) the Indian Flag, and a small boat in the middle of the water. There was this magnificent Sinhgad fort. I got down the road and started taking photos, We 4 including me, were very excited to click photos rather than eating.

My classmates were having their lunch actually it was all snacks. The whole EWRE was clicking photos and selfies except the patient. After all this we went back to downside to the gates. Meet the dam in charge and he told us many informative things like, how should we behave, don't get irritated or frustration to heavy on you. You should do it now, and afterwards nothing happens. We were very excited to watch the spill way, radial gates were installed. He also told us about the story of Panshet dam failure and the remaining block that went downstream. We were all ears in front of him. personally it was my first visit to any dam. walking on the dam itself was a nice feeling.

 

Walking back to the control station of dam. The rain divide us in a pair of two's each. There was a 3D map of whole Dam Structure. I saw it. It was nice. Not like a movie nice but cool. From there after clicking a photo with Sir as like all the Scientist of their respective models. He wished us greetings and with thanks giving we started our walk downside towards our bus.

In the bus, we started singing songs, Literally all the songs, Sir accompanying us must have reminded of his children. After singing a song, another one was up in the que, likewise in this chorus joy we reached college. We said thanks to Sir for this wonderful Visit, a two in one visit. In college we sat in the canteen discussed about the next visit and trip with the class. There is difference in trip and visit. Visit will be likely to Gujrat.

             

All 15 of us Had tea, coffee or Juice. After discussing for a brief. We headed to our destination room .The best thing was all of this from 8:00 am to 4;00 pm. All trips and visits encourage me to a another one.
